Ten Tasks

People often ask me how I stay so positive and I’m always a little taken aback when they do. I don’t consider myself to be particularly ‘up’ but I know, having been ‘down’ that I do actively choose to find the good in all situations.

This year, it’s been particularly challenging. Like everyone, I had plans for 2020: I was going to develop my business, try out some new ideas and be more brave. It started out so well!

I still feel like 2020 is salvageable though. Whatever our circumstances, there will be something we can grab by the horns, tackle head on and make better.

That’s why I launched the Ten Tasks. They’re a set of jobs I do when I feel like life’s running away with me. They help me to focus on not only what I want, but what I can actually do to improve things.

The Tilehurst Runs Together training sessions are going from strength-to-strength and I’m planning on adding new lunchtime sessions. Going back into lockdown has put all of that on hold for the time being, but only for now.

Until England Athletics make a formal update, all face-to-face training will have to cease from Thursday 5th November. I will be in touch with existing runners to organise what will happen next.

In the meantime, the VIP Group is still available to all: online training including circuit-sessions, run ideas and plenty of support along the way. Do get in touch if you’d like to join (£20 per month or £36 for the rest of 2020) or if you want to order one of our natty new hats (£10).
